In the middle of the Medina, very nice Riad with design furniture. Panoramic view from the terrace, wonderfull breakfast. Superlative Staff (the owner Christian and driss are always helpfull). Assolutamente raccomandabile!!!

    Superb

La Maison Maure is really fantastic. Every morning the breakfast is a big supprice. Will you get the homemade bananacake or some sort of apple pie next to the fresh bread, home made yoghurt and off course a cup of mint tea? Clean and beautifull rooms. And the staff is really nice. You will feel home in Marocco.

The best of 6 riads we've stayed in Morocco! Almost impossible to find it the first time, but once you do, it's easy. Close to the main street. Great rooms, amazing decoration...excellent taste! Great staff, best breakfast in Morocco!! Stay there, you won't regret at all!!!

Hard to find... The address on Booked.net is wrong.

Very friendly and hospitable owner and manager. Super flexible when it comes to things like breakfast time. Breakfast is superb. Excellent dinner option also available. Has a communal feel because there are only five bedrooms, and people are bound to get to know each other a bit and exchange impressions and tips concerning their stay in Fes. The location is right in the medina, but close enough to the edge to make the walk to the car a short one. TV is only available in a shared room (which I liked). The roof terrace has amazing views over the surrounding medina. Architecturally this Riad is beautiful!

The option of having a couple of down pillows would have made the room even better.

It is in good location , in center of old medina. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Owner put great efforts to decrate them . You van enjoy opera, listen ols pictures story with owner . We like the breakfast very much , especially his home made banana bread. We can make our own fruit meal and meant tea in the kitchen. Enjoy sunset of old medina on the tarrence . We spent our whole 2 nights in the riad. Come to feel it . You will get many surprises ! .

The owner was very present and the manager Driss was very friendly and helpful. A tour was organised for us and we were suggested a beautiful restaurant where we received a substantial discount due to the riad. The riad itself was beautiful.

Lots of Cederwood which is not so good for allergies but very beautiful.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. They were very happy to offer us services (guides, meals, tours, etc) but also very happy to just let us do our own thing. We felt no pressure to partake in the extra services. A newly opened place at a very good price in the heart of the city.

Nicely decorated with comfortable rooms and nice views from the roof top. Staff is welcoming and friendly. No TV in the room but there is one upstairs with a selection of DVDs offered.

We've stayed in other nicely renovated riads and found this one to be overpriced and overrated. 1-Location: far from where most restaurants are and tourist spots. Area doesn't feel safe at night as most shops near by closes at 9 and you have to go through narrow and somewhat dark alleys to get back to the Riad. 2-Almost impossible to find as riad is within the Medina. You would need to get someone to show you the way (for a fee off course and not covered by the Riad). 3-Wifi: signal is weak, we had to stay on the corridor for Internet access. 4-Tour guide: unlike previous reviews we were not impressed by the tour guide recommended by the Riad. We were taken on a 4 hour walking tour and given a bit about the history, but most of it was spent walking and trying to get away from a carpet and leather. 5- Can only pay in cash and at an inflated exchange rate.

    Fabulous

La Maison Maure is managed by a very refined and friendly host. The riad seems recently re-done, with a minimalist and yet fine taste. we stayed in a room that nicely combines Picasso drawings and old pieces of Moroccan furniture. Exquisite breakfast served with authentic ingredients and a touch of local history.

It's easy to miss the riad in the labyrinth of the streets in the medina of Fez. The temperatures were quite high, and in 40 degrees the air conditioning doesn't cope with the heat on the upper rooms. Terraces are beautiful for the rooms on higher levels but could offer more comfort.

La Maison Maure is amazing. Driss (the manager) is so helpful and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay in Fes. Christian (the owner) arrived the day after us and was such a charming and generous man -between the 2of tem we cannot complain. Wonderful! We had per arranged cooking class however when the people failed to show up as arranged Driss quickly made phone als and had us booked into a new class at Cafe Clock within half an hour. Then he arranged us an official guide for a tour around the medina and tis was also fantastic. Our tour guide is used by the guest house on a Eilat basis and the tour went all day -we left at 0930 and didnot return to the guesthouse until after 7pm. We chose aspects of what we preferred to see and there was never any pressure to purchase anything whilst on the tour which was a huge difference to other tours we had done. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!!!!

Everything about this hotel is above standard. They are particular to the detail and the manger and owner made this a truly magical experience. As a solo traveller they orchestrated opportunities to meet other people who were interesting and a pleasure to meet. The owner and manager made me feel like an old friend not a guest and the beauty of the rooms and the style made it a joy to stay there. The location is excellent and quiet! 2 nights was not long enough! I thank you La Maison Maure for providing a fabulous traveling experience.

The location is great, once you get to know the streets a little bit you won't have any trouble finding it. The owner and manger are great people and they do their best to make your stay more enjoyable.

Excellent choice for visiting Fes. Excelent and very hospitality staff. My husband and I highly recommend this riad. Great breakfast - very diverse, so you can meet a lot of Moroccan flavors. Very clean hotel. Always warm water. Close to the heart of Medina. Beautiful view from the terrace. But the most captivated us that in the library are fantastic albums on art and photography and architecture - you can spend a wonderful evening immersed in the book.
